HMS Harwich (1743)
HMS Harwich was a 50-gun fourth-rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched in 1743. She was built at Harwich Dockyard, from which she took her name, according to the 1741 Establishment.
Harwich saw service during the War of the Austrian Succession and the Seven Years' War. During the War of the Austrian Succession, she was actively involved in patrolling the English Channel and participating in convoy escort duties.
In the Seven Years' War, Harwich participated in several notable engagements.
