Buck Rogers (baseball)

Buck Rogers (born June 23, 1938) is a former professional baseball player and coach. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a catcher from 1961 to 1963, and again from 1967 to 1969.

Rogers played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels, and Houston Astros. He was primarily a backup catcher throughout his career, known more for his defensive abilities and handling of pitchers than his offensive prowess. After his playing career, Rogers transitioned into coaching. He held various coaching positions with several MLB teams, including the Cincinnati Reds and the Seattle Mariners. He was often regarded as a respected and knowledgeable baseball man.
