Snatched (2017 film)

Snatched is a 2017 American action comedy film directed by Jonathan Levine and written by Katie Dippold. The film stars Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer as a mother and daughter who are kidnapped while on vacation in Ecuador.

The plot centers around Emily Middleton (Schumer), who is dumped by her boyfriend just before their planned trip to Ecuador. Desperate to not waste the non-refundable vacation, she convinces her overly cautious and homebound mother, Linda (Hawn), to accompany her. Once in Ecuador, their pursuit of adventure leads them to being kidnapped and subsequently thrust into a dangerous situation requiring them to escape through the Ecuadorian jungle. They encounter various colorful and dangerous characters as they attempt to make their way back to safety and the American embassy.
