Sklodowska (lunar crater)

Sklodowska is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the southeast of the larger crater Pasteur, and to the north-northwest of the Mare Ingenii.

Sklodowska is a relatively well-formed crater with a sharp, distinct rim. The inner walls display some terracing, and there is a slight central peak at the midpoint of the interior floor. A small crater lies across the northwestern rim of Sklodowska. Smaller craters are located in the southwest inner wall, and along the southern outer rim.

This crater was named after Marie Skłodowska Curie, the pioneering physicist and chemist.
