Simon Cox (rower)
Simon Cox (born 19 May 1973) is a British rower who competed in the Summer Olympics.
Cox represented Great Britain at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a member of the men's eight crew that finished in 8th place. The crew included other notable British rowers such as James Cracknell and Tim Foster.
He was educated at Kingston Grammar School. Prior to the Olympics, Cox had a successful career at the junior and Under-23 levels, earning selection to the senior national team. Following his Olympic appearance, Cox continued to compete in rowing, participating in various national and international regattas.
While Cox did not win an Olympic medal, his participation in the Games represents a significant achievement in his rowing career. Information regarding his post-Olympic rowing career and subsequent professional endeavors is limited but he remains a recognised name within British rowing circles.
