Shadows and Light (Wilson Phillips album)
Shadows and Light is the second studio album by American pop group Wilson Phillips, released in 1992. It followed their massively successful self-titled debut album, Wilson Phillips.
The album showcased a slightly more mature and diverse sound than their debut, incorporating elements of R&B and adult contemporary alongside their signature pop harmonies. While it achieved platinum certification and spawned several singles, Shadows and Light did not reach the same level of commercial success as its predecessor.
Key tracks on the album include "You Won't See Me Cry," "Give It Up," and "Flesh and Blood." The album was produced by Glen Ballard, known for his work with Alanis Morissette, and Peter Asher, who had previously worked with Linda Ronstadt and James Taylor.
Despite not replicating the overwhelming popularity of their debut, Shadows and Light is considered a significant part of Wilson Phillips' discography and demonstrated their continued evolution as a vocal group.
