Samuel Carter (Canadian politician)

Samuel Carter (born circa 1846, died 1926) was a Canadian politician and businessman from Newfoundland. He served as a member of the Newfoundland House of Assembly representing Burgeo-La Poile from 1900 to 1904.

Carter was a prominent merchant in Newfoundland, involved in the fishing and sealing industries. He entered politics during a period of significant political upheaval in Newfoundland. He was elected as a member of the People's Party led by Robert Bond.
