Sal Pace
Sal Pace is an American politician from Colorado. He served as a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives for District 50 from 2001 to 2009, and as Speaker of the House from 2009 to 2011.
Pace was born in Pueblo, Colorado. He attended the University of Southern Colorado (now Colorado State University Pueblo) and graduated with a degree in political science.
During his time in the Colorado House, Pace focused on issues related to education, healthcare, and economic development. He sponsored legislation related to renewable energy and efforts to support Colorado's agricultural industry.
In 2010, Pace ran for Colorado's 3rd congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, but he was defeated by incumbent Republican Scott Tipton.
Following his time in the legislature, Pace has remained involved in Colorado politics and public policy. He has worked as a consultant and advocate on various issues.
