Roy Fowler (runner)
Roy Fowler (1924-2009) was a British long-distance runner who competed in the marathon at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, finishing in 15th place. He also represented England at the Commonwealth Games, winning a bronze medal in the marathon at the 1958 Cardiff Games. Fowler was known for his consistent performances in road running events throughout the 1950s and 1960s. In addition to his Olympic and Commonwealth Games appearances, he achieved notable success in numerous domestic races.
