Ron Klink

Ron Klink (born November 23, 1940) is an American politician and lobbyist from Pennsylvania. He served as a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives for Pennsylvania's 4th congressional district from 1993 to 1999.

Klink was born in Canton, Ohio. Before entering politics, he worked in radio broadcasting. He served as a Beaver County Commissioner from 1977 to 1992, establishing a reputation for fiscal conservatism.

In 1992, Klink was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, succeeding Joe Kolter. He served three full terms, focusing on economic development and environmental protection issues related to Western Pennsylvania. During his time in Congress, he was known for his moderate stance within the Democratic party.

In 2000, Klink resigned from Congress to run for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Republican Rick Santorum. He lost the election.
