Ron King (basketball)

Ron King (born May 8, 1951) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'4" guard, King played collegiately at Florida State University, where he was a star player, leading the Seminoles in scoring and earning All-American honors.

King was selected by the Golden State Warriors with the 12th overall pick in the 1973 NBA draft. He played four seasons in the NBA, from 1973 to 1977, with the Warriors, Kansas City Kings, and New Orleans Jazz. His best season was with the Kings in 1974-75, where he averaged over 8 points per game. After his NBA career, King played professionally in Italy.

He is a member of the Florida State University Athletics Hall of Fame.
