Bromley is a suburban town in Greater London, England, located 9.3 miles (15.0 km) south-east of Charing Cross. It is the principal town of the London Borough of Bromley.

History:

Bromley's history can be traced back to Anglo-Saxon times. The name is derived from Bromleag, meaning "broom clearing" in Old English. The town was historically part of the county of Kent.
