Ron Fuller (wrestler)
Ron Fuller (born January 16, 1947) is an American retired professional wrestler and promoter. He is best known for his work in Southeastern Championship Wrestling and Continental Championship Wrestling, territories he owned and operated.
Fuller, nicknamed "The Tennessee Stud," was a popular babyface wrestler throughout the 1970s and 1980s, primarily in the Southern United States. He was known for his brawling style and charisma. He often teamed with his brothers, Robert and Don Fuller.
Fuller's career highlights include multiple championship reigns in Southeastern Championship Wrestling, Continental Championship Wrestling, and other Southern territories. He held titles such as the NWA Southeastern Heavyweight Championship, the NWA Southeastern Tag Team Championship, and the Continental Heavyweight Championship.
Beyond his in-ring career, Fuller was also a successful promoter. He took over Southeastern Championship Wrestling from his father, Buddy Fuller, and later rebranded it as Continental Championship Wrestling. He was known for his innovative booking and his ability to draw large crowds to his events.
Fuller eventually sold Continental Championship Wrestling and retired from wrestling in the late 1980s. He has since made occasional appearances at wrestling conventions and has been involved in other business ventures. He is considered a legend in Southern wrestling and is remembered for his contributions to the sport as both a wrestler and a promoter.
