Richard Voliva

Richard Voliva (born circa 1880, died after 1947) was an American entrepreneur and businessman primarily known for his association with the Voliva Radio Company and his strong advocacy for Flat Earth theories. He was the successor to Wilbur Glenn Voliva, his father, as the General Overseer of the Christian Catholic Apostolic Church in Zion, Illinois, and continued his father's leadership of the Church and the town after his father's death in 1942.

Richard Voliva maintained his father's stance on a number of controversial topics, including the shape of the Earth. He used the Church's radio station, WCBD (later WZION), to broadcast sermons and lectures propagating Flat Earth beliefs. He inherited and continued his father's legal and business endeavors.

Despite his efforts to sustain the prominence of Zion and its affiliated businesses, Richard Voliva ultimately faced challenges. The Christian Catholic Apostolic Church and the town of Zion experienced financial difficulties and changes during his tenure.

He was succeeded as General Overseer by Michael Mintern in 1959.
