Tapeworm (film)

Tapeworm is a 2019 American independent black comedy film directed by Fabrice Garel. The film stars Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Mimi Rogers, and Noah Pritzker.

The film follows Lillian (Dexter-Jones), a young woman living in New York City who suffers from chronic digestive issues. Seeking relief, she delves into unconventional and often absurd health treatments, leading her on a bizarre journey of self-discovery and questionable wellness fads. Her increasingly eccentric behavior strains her relationships with her mother (Rogers) and boyfriend (Pritzker).

Tapeworm premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2019. It received mixed reviews, with some critics praising its dark humor and Dexter-Jones's performance, while others found the plot meandering and the humor inconsistent.
