Richard Finch (producer)

Richard Finch is a music producer, songwriter, and musician, best known as a co-founder and member of the funk and disco band KC and the Sunshine Band. He primarily played bass in the band and co-wrote many of their hit songs with Harry Wayne Casey ("KC"). These songs include "Get Down Tonight", "That's the Way (I Like It)", "Shake Your Booty", "I'm Your Boogie Man", and "Keep It Comin' Love".

Finch was instrumental in crafting the band's signature sound, blending funk, disco, and Latin rhythms. While Harry Wayne Casey served as the lead singer and frontman, Finch contributed significantly to the musical arrangements and production. He left KC and the Sunshine Band in the early 1980s. Following his departure, information regarding Finch's subsequent career activities is scarce and publicly less documented compared to his time with the band.
