Rhys Bennett (footballer, born 2003)

Rhys Bennett (born September 15, 2003) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Stockport County, on loan from Manchester United.

Bennett began his career in the Manchester United youth academy, progressing through the ranks and captaining the club's under-18 team. He was named captain for the FA Youth Cup-winning team in 2022. He signed his first professional contract with Manchester United in January 2021.

Bennett made his senior debut for Manchester United on January 25, 2023, in a Premier League match against Nottingham Forest, coming on as a substitute.

In August 2023, Bennett joined Stockport County on loan for the 2023–24 season. He is an England youth international.
