Lifehouse (band)
Lifehouse is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1996. Initially known as Blush, the band gained mainstream popularity in the early 2000s with their debut album, No Name Face, and its hit single "Hanging by a Moment," which was the most played song on American radio in 2001.
The band's lineup has primarily consisted of Jason Wade (lead vocals, guitar), Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums), and Bryce Soderberg (bass, vocals). Several guitarists have been members throughout the band's history, including Sergio Andrade and Ben Carey.
Lifehouse's musical style blends elements of post-grunge, alternative rock, and pop rock. Their subsequent albums, including Stanley Climbfall (2002), Lifehouse (2005), Who We Are (2007), Smoke & Mirrors (2010), and Almería (2012), have produced several charting singles, such as "Spin," "You and Me," "First Time," and "Halfway Gone."
While "Hanging by a Moment" remains their signature song, Lifehouse has maintained a consistent touring schedule and fanbase over the years. The band is known for its melodic songwriting and Wade's distinctive vocals. After a period of inactivity, the band began touring again in 2024.
