Rhodri Davies (musician)

Rhodri Davies is a Welsh experimental harpist, composer, and improviser. He is known for his extended techniques on the harp, using preparations, amplification, and unconventional methods to create a wide range of sounds. Davies is a key figure in contemporary experimental music, particularly in the fields of free improvisation and sound art.

Davies has collaborated with numerous artists across various disciplines, including but not limited to, musicians such as John Butcher, David Sylvian, Sachiko M, and Jim O'Rourke. His work often explores the intersection of acoustic and electronic sound, blurring the lines between traditional harp playing and abstract sound manipulation.

He has released numerous solo albums and collaborative projects on labels such as Confront Recordings, Erstwhile Records, and Bo'Weavil Recordings.
