Reborn (Stryper album)
Reborn is the sixth studio album by the American Christian metal band Stryper, released in 2005. It marked a significant departure from the band's previous glam metal sound, embracing a heavier, more modern hard rock and metal style. It was the band's first album of original material in over 15 years, following the release of their compilation album 7: The Best of Stryper in 2003, which included two new songs.
The album's title, Reborn, reflects the band's reformation and revitalization after a long period of inactivity and individual pursuits. The lyrics often dealt with themes of faith, redemption, and spiritual warfare, consistent with Stryper's established Christian message.
Reborn was produced by Stryper frontman Michael Sweet and gained generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the band's musical evolution and the album's raw energy. While not achieving the commercial success of their earlier albums, it re-established Stryper's presence in the contemporary Christian and hard rock scenes.
