Real Steel (horse)
Real Steel was a Thoroughbred racehorse foaled in Japan in 2012. Bred by Sunday Racing Co. Ltd., he was trained by Yoshito Yahagi and owned by Carrot Farm Co. Ltd. Real Steel was sired by Deep Impact, a Japanese champion, out of Loves Only Me, an American-bred mare by Storm Cat.
His racing career spanned from 2015 to 2017. Notable achievements include winning the Grade 1 Dubai Turf in 2016. He also placed in several other high-profile races, including the Tenno Sho (Autumn) and the Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger). He was known for his versatility and ability to perform well on both turf and dirt.
After retiring from racing, Real Steel began his career as a stallion. His progeny are beginning to appear on racetracks, and their performance is being closely monitored by the racing community.
