Ian Stuart (bishop)
Ian Stuart (born 1944) is a retired Anglican bishop in the Church of England. He served as the Bishop of Beverley, a suffragan bishop in the Diocese of York, from 2000 to 2013. As Bishop of Beverley, he was a provincial episcopal visitor, also known as a "flying bishop," for parishes in the Province of York who were opposed to the ordination of women as priests. Prior to his consecration as bishop, Stuart served in various parishes, including as Vicar of Holy Trinity, South Wimbledon. He is a graduate of the University of Nottingham.
