Ranger (Girl Guide)
Rangers are the fourth and final section in many Girl Guide organizations worldwide, generally for girls aged 14-18. The specific age range and program details vary depending on the national Girl Guide association.
Ranger programs focus on developing leadership skills, independence, and community involvement. Members participate in a wide variety of activities, often planned and led by themselves with guidance from adult leaders. These activities can include outdoor adventures, community service projects, international travel, skill-building workshops, and advocacy campaigns.
The program aims to empower young women to make a positive difference in their lives and the world around them. Rangers are encouraged to explore their interests, challenge themselves, and take on responsibilities, preparing them for adulthood. They are also expected to be role models for younger Girl Guides. Progression through the Ranger section often involves earning badges or awards based on demonstrated skills and achievements.
Upon reaching the upper age limit for Rangers, members may transition to leadership roles within the Girl Guide movement or become adult volunteers.
