Raleigh (band)
Raleigh was an American indie rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York, in the early 2000s. The band's core members were Cleek Schreyer (vocals, guitar) and Peter Nichols (drums). Their music blended elements of post-punk, art rock, and experimental rock, often characterized by Schreyer's distinctive vocals and the band's dynamic rhythmic interplay.
Raleigh released several EPs and full-length albums throughout their career, earning critical acclaim within the independent music scene. Their releases included "Paper Dolls" (EP), "The Ghost of Something" (album), and "Living Proof" (album). Their music was frequently praised for its intelligent lyrics, complex arrangements, and overall originality.
While no longer actively performing or recording as Raleigh, the members remain involved in various musical projects. Cleek Schreyer is known for his work in traditional Irish music and experimental composition, while Peter Nichols has continued to perform and record with other artists.
