Raindance (Clark Datchler album)
Raindance is the second solo album by British singer-songwriter Clark Datchler, released in 1990. Datchler, previously the lead singer and songwriter of the band Johnny Hates Jazz, wrote and recorded the album following his departure from the group. The album showcases a more mature and introspective sound compared to his work with Johnny Hates Jazz, incorporating elements of world music and environmental themes into his lyrics. While not achieving the same level of commercial success as Johnny Hates Jazz's debut album, Raindance was critically well-received and established Datchler as a respected solo artist. The album features singles such as "Crown of Thorns" and "Raindance," the latter exploring themes of ecological awareness.
