Qin Kai (diver)

Qin Kai (秦凯) is a retired Chinese diver specializing in springboard events. He is an Olympic champion and multiple-time world champion, widely regarded as one of the most successful male springboard divers in history.

Qin Kai competed in the 3-meter springboard and 3-meter synchronized springboard events. He partnered with Wang Feng to win gold in the 3-meter synchronized springboard at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. At the 2012 London Olympics, he partnered with Luo Yutong to win another gold medal in the same event. He also won a bronze medal in the individual 3-meter springboard event at the 2012 London Olympics.

Throughout his career, Qin Kai accumulated numerous World Championship medals and World Cup titles, solidifying his position as a dominant force in springboard diving. He retired from competitive diving after the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Qin Kai is also known for his public proposal to fellow diver He Zi after she won a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
