Princess Françoise of Orléans (1902–1953)
Princess Françoise Isabelle Louise Marie of Orléans (25 December 1902 – 25 February 1953) was a member of the House of Orléans and, by marriage, a Princess of Greece and Denmark.
Born in Paris, France, she was the daughter of Jean d'Orléans, Duke of Guise, and his wife, Princess Isabelle of Orléans. Her father was a claimant to the French throne.
On 11 February 1929, in Palermo, Sicily, she married Prince Christopher of Greece and Denmark, the youngest son of King George I of Greece and Grand Duchess Olga Constantinovna of Russia. Prince Christopher was previously married to Nancy Leeds, an American heiress.
Princess Françoise and Prince Christopher had one son, Prince Michael of Greece and Denmark, born in 1939.
Princess Françoise died in Paris in 1953. She is buried with her husband in the Royal Cemetery at Tatoi Palace near Athens, Greece.
