Ray Candy
Ray Candy (1951 – 1994) was an American professional wrestler. He competed under several ring names, including Ray "Thunder" Candy, Commando Ray, and Cream Team's Kareem Muhammad. He was known for his size and power, and frequently teamed with other large wrestlers.
Candy began his career in the late 1970s and competed in various territories including Georgia Championship Wrestling, Continental Wrestling Association, and World Class Championship Wrestling. He was a recognizable presence due to his distinctive look and in-ring style. He often portrayed a heel (villainous) character.
A notable tag team partner was Elijah Akeem, forming the "Cream Team." The duo's antics and contrasting personalities garnered them attention. He also had a successful run in Japan with All Japan Pro Wrestling.
Ray Candy died in 1994 at the age of 42. His cause of death was reportedly related to a heart condition. He is remembered as a journeyman wrestler who contributed to the wrestling scene across several regions and countries during his career.
