Post Mortem (Black Tide album)
Post Mortem is the second and final studio album by American heavy metal band Black Tide. It was released on August 23, 2011, through DGC/Interscope Records.
The album represents a departure from the band's earlier thrash metal influences, leaning more towards a hard rock and alternative metal sound. Lyrically, Post Mortem explores darker themes such as death, addiction, and personal struggles.
The album spawned several singles, including "Bury Me," "Walking Dead Man," and "That Fire." While Post Mortem debuted at number 73 on the Billboard 200 chart, it received mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the band's musical evolution and songwriting maturity, while others criticized the album's lack of originality and reliance on generic hard rock tropes.
Following the release of Post Mortem, Black Tide underwent several lineup changes and eventually disbanded in 2016. The album remains the band's last full-length studio effort.
