Petropars
Petropars is an Iranian oil and gas company engaged in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas fields, both onshore and offshore. Established in 1999 as a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Petropars has played a significant role in Iran's energy sector. The company is involved in various projects, including the development of phases in the South Pars gas field, one of the world's largest natural gas fields.
Petropars undertakes a range of activities, from initial geological surveys and reservoir studies to engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of oil and gas facilities. It also participates in the operation and maintenance of producing fields. The company often partners with international and domestic contractors on its projects. Due to international sanctions imposed on Iran, Petropars has faced challenges in attracting foreign investment and technology, but it has continued to pursue projects with domestic resources and partnerships.
