Pericle (film)

Pericle il Nero (Black Pericles) is a 2016 Italian-Belgian crime drama film directed by Stefano Mordini. It is based on the novel of the same name by Giuseppe Ferrandino.

The film tells the story of Pericle Scalzone, nicknamed "Black Pericles," a Camorra hitman working for Don Luigi Caccamo in Belgium. Pericle lives a life of solitude and violence, carrying out the dirty work without question. His life takes an unexpected turn when a hit goes wrong, leading him to flee and seek refuge in France, where he encounters a woman named Anastasia. Their relationship offers Pericle a chance at redemption and a new life, but his past continues to haunt him. The film explores themes of guilt, redemption, and the possibility of escaping a life of crime.
