Kate Reid (politician)

Kate Reid is a Canadian politician, currently serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Alberta. She represents the constituency of Calgary-Cross for the Alberta New Democratic Party (NDP).

Reid was first elected in the 2019 Alberta general election, defeating the incumbent Progressive Conservative candidate. She currently serves as the Official Opposition Critic for Advanced Education.

Prior to her election to the Legislative Assembly, Reid worked in the non-profit sector, focusing on issues related to community development and social justice. She has a background in education and community organizing.
