Paul Nelson (South Dakota politician)

Paul Nelson is an American politician from South Dakota. He served as a Republican member of the South Dakota House of Representatives for District 10, representing Brookings County, from 2017 to 2023.

Nelson served on the House Appropriations Committee and the Joint Committee on Appropriations during his time in the legislature. He also served on other committees focused on education and state affairs.

Nelson did not seek re-election in 2022. His legislative priorities included budget management and education policy. Before his time in the House, Nelson was involved in local government and community organizations in Brookings County.
