Paul Jones (footballer, born 1967)
Paul Jones (born 1 October 1967) is a Welsh former professional footballer. He primarily played as a goalkeeper.
Jones began his career at Kidderminster Harriers before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1986. He had loan spells at several clubs including Stockport County, Exeter City and Cheltenham Town, before eventually joining Stockport County permanently in 1991.
After a successful period with Stockport County, he signed for Birmingham City in 1996, where he established himself as a reliable goalkeeper. He later moved to Southampton in 1997, playing in the Premier League.
Jones represented Wales at international level, earning a number of caps during his career.
His playing career also included spells with Liverpool, on loan as cover for injuries, and Queens Park Rangers. After retiring from professional football, he has been involved in coaching, particularly goalkeeper coaching.
