Parc de Montjuïc (Barcelona Metro)
Parc de Montjuïc is a station on Line 8 of the Barcelona Metro. It is located in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona, specifically within the vicinity of the Parc de Montjuïc, a large urban park and cultural area.
The station is situated underground and can be accessed via several entrances around the park. It primarily serves visitors to the park's many attractions, including the Joan Miró Foundation, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), and the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc. It also provides access to the various gardens and recreational areas within the park.
Parc de Montjuïc is part of the Llobregat–Anoia line, which is operated by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC). The station is connected to Plaça Espanya station, where passengers can transfer to other Barcelona Metro lines.
The station's opening date coincided with the extension of the Line 8 service and has been an important transportation hub for accessing the Montjuïc area, especially during events and peak tourist seasons. The architecture is functional and designed to facilitate the flow of passengers to and from the park. Accessibility features are in place to accommodate people with disabilities.
