Opatówiec
Opatówiec is a town in Kalisz County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Opatówiec. The town is situated approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) east of Kalisz and 118 km (73 mi) south-east of Poznań, the regional capital.
Opatówiec has a population of approximately 2,700. Historically, the area was part of Greater Poland (Wielkopolska). The town's history is linked to the surrounding agricultural region, and it serves as a local center for commerce and administration.
