Olivier Roy (ice hockey)

Olivier Roy (born June 7, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing for the Trois-Rivières Lions in the ECHL.

Roy was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 5th round (133rd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to his professional career, he played junior hockey for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). Roy was a highly touted prospect during his junior career, winning the Jacques Plante Memorial Trophy as the QMJHL's best goaltender in 2010 and leading the Titan to the QMJHL championship series.

Roy played in the Oilers organization from 2011 to 2015, primarily with their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliates, the Oklahoma City Barons and Bakersfield Condors. He never played in a regular season NHL game for the Oilers.

Following his time in the Oilers organization, Roy has played in various leagues, including the ECHL, Austria, and Slovakia. He has demonstrated consistent performance and remains an active player in professional hockey.
