Nurse (band)
Nurse was a British glam metal band formed in the late 1980s. They were notable for their theatrical stage performances and sexually suggestive lyrics. The band consisted of vocalist and frontman Martin "Doogie" Flett, guitarist Dave "Mac" McNally, bassist Dave Locke and drummer Mark "Spud" Thompson.
Nurse released their debut album, An Accident Waiting to Happen, in 1990. The album received some attention for its provocative themes and hard-rocking sound. They toured in support of the album, building a reputation for their energetic live shows.
A follow-up album, Squeeze Me Dry, was released in 1993. However, the band struggled to maintain momentum in the face of changing musical tastes and the decline of the glam metal scene.
Nurse eventually disbanded in the mid-1990s. While they did not achieve mainstream success, they remain a cult favorite among fans of the glam metal genre. Their music is characterized by catchy hooks, heavy guitar riffs, and tongue-in-cheek lyrics.
