Stevens–Bruxner ministry (1932–1935)
The Stevens–Bruxner ministry was the 30th ministry of the New South Wales Government, and was led by the 24th Premier of New South Wales, Bertram Stevens, and the Leader of the Country Party, Michael Bruxner. It was a coalition ministry consisting of members of the United Australia Party and the Country Party. The ministry was formed following the 1932 state election, where Stevens led the UAP and Country Party to a landslide victory against the Labor Party under Jack Lang. The Stevens–Bruxner ministry held office from 16 May 1932 until 16 April 1935. Significant events during the ministry's term included responses to the ongoing Great Depression, efforts at economic recovery, and various legislative reforms. Following the 1935 state election, while the coalition retained power, Stevens reshaped his ministry.
