North (1994 film)

North is a 1994 American comedy-drama film directed by Rob Reiner. The film stars Elijah Wood as North, a young boy who, feeling neglected by his parents and underappreciated by his friends, decides to divorce them and embark on a worldwide search for new parents.

The film follows North as he travels to different countries and continents, interviewing potential families who represent various stereotypes and cultural norms. He is given a deadline by a talking genie (played by Jon Lovitz), after which he must choose his new parents or return to his original family.

The supporting cast includes Bruce Willis as the narrator, who appears periodically offering advice and commentary, as well as Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Alan Arkin, Dan Aykroyd, Kathy Bates, Faith Ford, and Reba McEntire as various sets of potential parents.
