Norma (album)

Norma is the debut studio album by Chilean singer and songwriter Mon Laferte, released on November 9, 2018, by Universal Music Mexico. It is a conceptual album that chronologically explores the different stages of a romantic relationship. Each song represents a distinct phase, from initial attraction to eventual heartbreak and moving on. The album draws inspiration from traditional Latin American musical styles, including cumbia, bolero, and mambo, blended with Laferte's signature alternative and rock influences. Norma was largely recorded live in one take at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, California, aiming to capture a raw and authentic feel. The album received critical acclaim for its diverse musical arrangements, emotional depth, and Laferte's powerful vocal performance. Several singles were released from the album, including "El Beso" and "Por Qué Me Fui a Enamorar de Ti."
