Niklas Bäckström (fighter)

Niklas Bäckström (born December 13, 1989) is a Swedish mixed martial artist. He competed primarily in the Featherweight division.

Bäckström began his professional MMA career in 2009 and quickly gained a reputation as an exciting, submission-oriented fighter. He fought for various promotions throughout Europe, including Shooto Sweden and Cage Warriors, amassing a strong record.

He signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2014 and made his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Story, winning by submission. His UFC tenure was relatively short, encompassing a few fights with mixed results.

Following his UFC run, Bäckström continued to compete in MMA, fighting for organizations such as Brave Combat Federation. He is known for his grappling skills and aggressive fighting style.
