Rocky Branch (Mineral Fork tributary)
Rocky Branch is a stream in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. It is a tributary of Mineral Fork, which itself is a tributary of the Big Cottonwood Creek. Rocky Branch is a relatively small stream, primarily fed by snowmelt and springs at higher elevations within the Wasatch Mountains. Its course is generally steep and rocky, as suggested by its name. The stream contributes to the overall watershed of Big Cottonwood Canyon, an important source of drinking water for the Salt Lake Valley. The surrounding area is largely forested and designated as part of the Central Wasatch National Conservation and Recreation Area, making it popular for hiking and other outdoor recreational activities.
