Night Train (EP)

Night Train is an extended play (EP) by the British alternative rock band Keane. It was released on May 10, 2010, in the United Kingdom and globally soon after. The EP features eight tracks and represents a departure from the band's typical piano-driven sound, incorporating more electronic elements, collaborations, and influences from different musical styles.

The title Night Train refers to the band's experiences touring the world, particularly their use of overnight train journeys. The songs on the EP were largely written and recorded during the Perfect Symmetry World Tour.

The EP includes collaborations with Somali-Canadian rapper K'naan on the tracks "Stop for a Minute" and "Looking Back." It also features covers of songs by other artists, including Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Is It Any Wonder?" (renamed "You Haven't Told Me Anything"). The track "My Shadow" is a collaboration with Japanese hip-hop artist Tigarah.

Night Train showcases Keane experimenting with different musical directions and collaborations, offering a glimpse into their creative process beyond their standard album releases. The EP charted in several countries, demonstrating its commercial success despite its experimental nature.
