Nick (Skins series 6)
Nick Levan is a fictional character in the sixth and final series of the British teen drama Skins. Played by Sean Teale, Nick is the popular and athletic head boy of Roundview Sixth Form College. He is the older brother of Matty Levan (from series 3 and 4) and the boyfriend of Mini McGuinness.
Nick is initially presented as a stereotypical jock – handsome, charismatic, and seemingly shallow. However, as the series progresses, his character is explored in more depth, revealing insecurities and complexities beneath the surface. He struggles to live up to the expectations placed upon him, both academically and socially, and feels overshadowed by his brother Matty's rebellious reputation.
Nick's relationship with Mini is a central storyline in series 6. Their relationship is tumultuous, marked by jealousy, infidelity, and communication problems. He often feels emasculated by Mini's strong personality and attempts to assert control within the relationship. He also has a brief affair with Liv Malone, further complicating his relationships and revealing his own vulnerabilities.
Throughout the series, Nick grapples with his identity and struggles to define himself outside of his relationship with Mini and his perceived role as the "golden boy." He ultimately makes choices that challenge expectations and attempt to find a more authentic version of himself.
