Broadwas

Broadwas is a village and civil parish in Worcestershire, England, located approximately 6 miles (10 km) west of Worcester. The village lies on the River Teme and is within the Malvern Hills District.

The name "Broadwas" is believed to be derived from the Old English words "brad" (broad) and "waesse" (wet place, marsh). This suggests that the area was a broad, marshy area in Anglo-Saxon times.

Historically, Broadwas was primarily an agricultural community. Today, while agriculture remains a factor, the village is largely residential, with many residents commuting to nearby towns and cities for work.
