Nexus 6
The Nexus 6 was a smartphone co-developed by Google and Motorola Mobility, released in November 2014. It was the successor to the Nexus 5 and the sixth smartphone in the Google Nexus series.
As a Nexus device, the Nexus 6 ran a "pure" or "stock" version of Android, directly from Google, meaning it had minimal pre-installed software or modifications by the manufacturer. This provided users with a clean Android experience and timely software updates.
Key features of the Nexus 6 included a large 5.96-inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization. It was notable for its size, which was considered quite large for smartphones at the time of its release, pushing the boundaries of the "phablet" category.
The device was available in two storage options: 32GB and 64GB. It also featured a large battery and supported fast charging. The Nexus 6 was initially released with Android 5.0 Lollipop and received subsequent Android updates throughout its supported lifecycle, including Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The Nexus 6 was discontinued by Google in 2016.
