Freshmen (magazine)

Freshmen was a short-lived American magazine targeted at college freshmen. Launched in 1999, it aimed to provide guidance and entertainment to students navigating their first year of college. Content typically included articles on academics, social life, dorm life, health, relationships, and financial management tailored specifically to the challenges and experiences of incoming college students. The magazine also featured celebrity interviews and campus profiles.

Freshmen was published by Petersen Publishing Company, which at the time owned a wide portfolio of magazines targeting various niche interests. Despite initial efforts to establish a readership and build a recognizable brand, the magazine ceased publication after a relatively brief run, reportedly due to market challenges and difficulties in establishing a sustainable business model.
