Nasr-1

The Nasr-1 is an Iranian short-range anti-ship missile. Developed in the 2000s and unveiled in 2012, it is believed to be a reverse-engineered or locally produced version of the Chinese C-704 missile. The Nasr-1 is designed to be launched from naval vessels, coastal batteries, and potentially aircraft, allowing for a multi-platform deployment capability.

The missile is a solid-propellant rocket powered weapon, using active radar homing to autonomously acquire and engage targets. Its warhead is designed to inflict significant damage to enemy vessels, particularly smaller to medium-sized ships. Specifications regarding range and warhead size vary depending on the source, but generally, it is estimated to have a range of around 30-35 kilometers and a warhead weighing approximately 130 kilograms.

The Nasr-1 represents Iran's efforts to develop its indigenous defense capabilities and enhance its naval power projection. It is viewed as a component of Iran's strategy to deter potential adversaries in the Persian Gulf and surrounding waters. Due to its relatively short range, it is primarily suited for engaging targets in littoral environments.
