Georgi Vasilev (footballer, born 1945)

Georgi Vasilev (born 9 May 1945) is a former Bulgarian football player and manager. He is most noted for his playing career in the Bulgarian A Group during the 1960s and 1970s.

Vasilev primarily played as a midfielder. He spent the majority of his career with PFC Slavia Sofia, where he established himself as a key player. During his time with Slavia, he won the Bulgarian Cup on multiple occasions. He was also a member of the Bulgarian national team, earning several international caps.

After retiring as a player, Vasilev transitioned into football management. He coached various clubs in Bulgaria, including Slavia Sofia and Levski Sofia. He also had stints coaching abroad.
